Programs

Ella Program

ELLA is an exciting digital language learning program for Kindergarten children. Through using play-based apps called Polyglots (a polyglot is someone who is multilingual) on tablet devices, the children will learn the Chinese language and it will open up a world cultural possibility for them.
The children gain so much more than a new language experience, ELLA can boost children’s learning of cultural appreciation, digital, cognitive, and social skills.

Ella Program Yoga Inspired Life Coach

Every second Monday, the Kindergarten children participate in a 30-min yoga and meditation class. When children partake in yoga, it increases their confidence, develops concentration, and strengthens their bodies in a physical and calming way. Additionally, yoga can improve their children’s impulses in a positive way as it provides children a way to manage their behaviour. It is a great way for children to take the time to stop and reset their inner clocks.

Pop Up Library

The kindergarten children visit the Pop-up Library on a fortnightly schedule at Svoboda Park. During each of these visits, library staff host interactive the First 5 Forever children’s Storytime sessions for children and their parents or carers to enjoy.

Children’s Storytime sessions aim to:

support early literacy.
present a fun, educational and interactive way of learning rhymes and songs that children can take home to enjoy.
Children to be an active member in their community by parting in community events.

Storypark

The service documents and communicates the EYLF, QKGL, and MTOP through an online program called Storypark. The program allows families to follow and keep up to date with their children’s learning and development from the comfort of their own home through a number of electronic devices. Storypark can record and communicate learning as it happens via photos, daily stories, observations, magical moments, and children’s goals within a secure online environment.

Billy Buddies

A Ball Sports program for our 2–5-year-old groups inspired by Australian and Queensland Rugby League player Billy Slater. The Program highlights having fun and encouraging children to develop their social and physical skills at the same time. Shaping children to become great team players and learn the importance of teamwork.

Yoga and Meditation

A fun, age-appropriate class designed for the kindergarten children

The classes promote flexibility and strength, learning relaxation skills, posture, concentration, coordination, body awareness, self-confidence, self-esteem and establishing excellent physical and mental health. Classes include yoga games and partnering activities and are taught by a fully certified Yoga Teacher specialising in Kids & Family Yoga.

Ocean Life Education

The centre provides educational shows based upon children’s interests and are delivered throughout the year by external companies. All extra curricula activities are paid for by the service.

Showtime Stars

The centre acknowledges cultural significant days and adds these events into the curriculum, most of these days are celebrated by experiencing traditional foods, music and movement and totems from these cultures. Cultural significant days like Chinese New Year, Waitangi Day,Naidoc week and Diwali day are also celebrated through centre shows delivered by a company called “Showtime Stars”Naidoc week and Diwali day are also celebrated through centre shows delivered by a company called “Showtime Stars”
